Faculty and staff who hold a master’s degree or higher (graduate/advanced degree) are invited to participate in the Commencement Academic Processional, representing their college or department during this important milestone in our students’ lives.
Important NoteThis is for
Non-marshal participation in the Faculty & Staff College Academic Processional. Which means you will lead the front of the processional lines in front of the graduates and then sit with the graduates for the duration of the program.
Marshals are pre-selected in advance and have separate responsibilities, including guiding graduates during the ceremony and assisting with line movement and seating. If you are interested in being a Marshal, please email us at universityevents@govst.edu
Participation Requirements for Ceremonies:
- Academic regalia is required for all participants.
- You may wear your own regalia or rent through our approved vendor.

Height and weight measurements are required for rental orders.
Rental Deadline: March 14, 2026 — orders ship directly to your home.
